Ah, now it makes sense to me.?
I live in Sydney, ...
I live in Sydney, Australia. Growing silk worms is somewhat popular for the kids around here, so they use the? mulberry leaves for that. However, I'd never been formerly introduced to them, so I wasn't completely sure as to what they looked like, but when I saw the brilliant fruit and how delicious they looked, I got a hunch and looked it up. It's currently spring now (Sep-Nov).
Cheers

Recenlty? Where? do you live. Granted I am in Florida but my mulberry fruits in spring.
Pretty sure this is ...
Pretty sure this is the tree I have in my yard. It didn't seem anything special? for the first few months I lived here, but it recently produced hundreds of these red and purple berries, and my dog has been eating them off the ground. I got a hunch it was a mulberry tree and it looks like it is. Quite a bonus! Looks about full size too, with _heaps_ of fruit. At least I know they aren't toxic.
Where? do I find ...
Where? do I find the seed to plant a mulberry tree ? (black mulberry)
I see. I've never ...
I see. I've never seen a commercial one, but there's a lot of that kind of thing up here,? to breed cold hardy varieties. They're all over in the undergrowth here - in fact, when we were hit by a tornado in May it tore down all of our 80-100 year old pines and hardwoods, and now 3 months later the whole neighborhood is full of 8 ft tall mulberry saplings. They really are lovely, I just wish they bore more fruit! Thank you so much for these videos, they're simply wonderful.
They could be one ...
They could be one of many? commercial cultivars.
Howdy Dean. I'm in ...
Howdy Dean. I'm in MN, and our mulberries here are a little different than yours, I think. We have a 4th common leaf shape, which is like a squat oak leaf. Our trees start fruiting in summer instead of spring (July-ish, probably the short season). And they're not nearly as prolific! This last is very sad, as I can't ever find enough at once for more than a handful. Any idea if these are a different variety? ? I assumed they were just black mulberries.
Thanks again Green ...
Thanks again Green Deen! I got stem cuttings before and now the ones getting a lot of sun are making lots of fruit at a few months after planting!! They're delicious! It's all thanks to your program that people? and birds are enjoying this fruit in our area.

Hey Deane! I just ...
Hey Deane! I just found a mulberry tree in my neighborhood that? was full of ripe mulberries(I remembered how to identify mulberries from this video)! I picked a bunch and I had enough to make a pie! Mulberries actually make for a decent pie! I also had enough left over to eat with yogurt. It's a shame that these trees grow perfectly good fruit and few people eat them!
Here is Western ...
Here is Western Ohio, USA; we have more black mulberries than we know what to do with here in about 2 months. Great food for the kids when takin a walk in the woods. However, they stain the fingers something fierce! As kids, we survived 2 weeks in the summer on these things. Now, we turn them into jam, and jar the hell outta them :) My wife thinks i'm crazy. Then she will ask in June how I went into the woods for 4 days and take no? food. I tell her it's magic :) great vid!
